MISSION

Girls Rock Camp ATL is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating an empowering and supportive community for self-identified girls and women, trans and gender expansive people through music education, creative expression, and performance.

Statement of Diversity/Non-discrimination Policy: The Girls Rock Camp Alliance values diversity of age, race, economic status, gender expression, size, physical ability, developmental ability, musical interests, learning styles, nationality, religion, thought, citizenship status, and sexual orientation. We promote respect and do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, or other discriminatory behavior or expression.

THE CAMP

GRCATL’s core program is a six-day summer camp for girls(trans inclusive)  ages 10-16 (former campers who are 17 may apply to be a Counselor in Training).

Campers are instructed in guitar, bass, keyboards, or drums, and participate in workshops geared toward encouraging freedom of expression, self-esteem, collaboration, and respect for community. Campers also form bands and perform in a big concert on the last day of camp. Campers are encouraged to bring their own instruments, however, if they do not have one, an instrument will be loaned to them for use during the week, free of charge.
