REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
(scroll the the bottom of this page for tuition assistance information)
Please download and fill out the Girls' Rock Camp 2010 Camper Registration Form electronically.  Then save it and email it to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it with the subject line "Camper Registration."  After your registration form is received and filed, you will be sent, via email, confirmation of receipt of your registration form, along with a reservation number and paymentinstructions.  Your camper tuition check, payable to Girls' Rock Camp ATL, is due upon receipt of your reservation number.  Tuition assistance applicants please see below for application instructions and a downloadable tuition assistance application form.

THE FOLLOWING INFO APPLIES TO GIRLS' ROCK CAMP (ATL) 2010 ONLY!

WHEN:  Girls’ Rock Camp (ATL) will take place Monday, July12 through Friday, July 16, 2010, from 9:00am to 5:30pm, and on Saturday, July17, times to be announced. The final concert will be on Saturday, July 17, at the Variety Playhouse in Little 5 Points.


WHERE:  The 2010 Girls’ Rock Camp (ATL) will be held atAtlanta Charter Middle School (ACMS) located at 820Essie Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30316. The building is wheelchair accessible.  Visit www.atlantachartermiddle.com. 

IMPORTANT:  PLEASE DO NOTcall Atlanta Charter Middle School for information about camp or theregistration process and DO NOT SEND or DROP OFF any registration materials atACMS.  Registration materials sentto or dropped off at ACMS will not be considered.   


WHO MAY REGISTER FOR CAMP: 
Any girl who will bebetween the ages of 10 and 16 during the camp session may register forcamp.  Girls 17 and 18 years oldcan apply to be a CIT (Counselor in Training).  No experience is necessary and you don’t have to live inAtlanta to register (please see below for more information about out-of-towncampers). Note: girls must be 10 years old at the time of camp to attend.


TUITION: 
Is $325 per camper and includes six days of camp,all instrument and workshop instructions, workshop supplies, camp t-shirt,camper backstage pass, and instrument loan (if needed). The fee is due uponreceipt of your registration form. The camp and instrument selections are on a first come, first servedbasis. 


LUNCH:
  Rock Camp does not provide lunch forcampers. Each camper needs to bring lunch each day. However, if you areeligible for free lunch at school and would like free lunch at camp, please letus know and we will do our best to make arrangements for lunch to be provided.


INSTRUMENT INSTRUCTION:
  Youcan choose to study guitar, bass, drums, or keyboards.  Please select only ONE first choiceinstrument and only ONE second choice instrument on the registration form.  We will do our best to accommodate yourfirst or second choice but instrument assignments are dependent on supply andare assigned on a first come first served basis.  Due to the need to acquire the gear we need in advance, youmay not change your selection after you submit your registration form, and youmay not change during the camp session. If you are not assigned an instrument of your choice, DON’T WORRY,you’re still going to have a really good time!


MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: 
Instruments and onepair of earplugs may be provided for use during the camp week (you can keep theearplugs!). If you have your own guitar/amp, bass/amp, or keyboard/amp, PLEASEBRING IT. However, please note that Rock Camp does not accept liability forpersonal instruments.


ACCOMMODATIONS FOR OUT OF TOWN CAMPERS:
  Girls’Rock Camp (ATL) is a day camp and we do NOT provide lodging. We are able tooffer limited assistance with host family arrangements; if you are interestedin contacting a prospective host family, or if you are a local familyinterested in hosting a camper, please let us know on your registrationform.  We will include moreinformation, including the required release form, in out-of-town campers’information packets; upon receipt of the completed form, we will provide hostfamily information as available. It’s up to the out-of-town family to makecontact with the host family and make all arrangements independently. Girls’Rock Camp (ATL) cannot provide assistance or accept responsibility for anyarrangements made by families. Please note, also, we cannot guaranteeavailability of host families.


CAMPER SELECTION/NOTIFICATION:
  Campers are currentlyadmitted on a first come, first served basis.  There are 50 slots available.  Upon receipt of your emailed or mailed registration form wewill send you a notice via email confirming your reservation number andcontaining payment instructions. If you are applying to be a CIT no payment will be necessary.

Girls' Rock Camp (ATL) is able to offer a limited number of full and partial tuition assistance opportunities.  For tuition assistance consideration please download, print, and complete the tuition assistance application pdf and mail it in, along with proof of free or reduced school lunch OR a letter of recommendation from an educator, clergy, or non-profit organization, AND a one-page personal essay, to the Girls' Rock Camp (ATL) post office box.  Your one-page personal essay can be as creative or technical as you like.  To be considered for full or partial tuition assistance your submission must be post-marked by Tuesday, June 1, 2010.  Tuition assistance will be awarded based on availability, need, and passion, and is not awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please mail your tuition assistance application and other required materials to:

Tuition assistance applications that do not include a personal essay AND either a letter of recommendation OR proof of free or reduced lunch will not be considered.
